Won the 1983 Class AAA state cross country championship for the individual race in county-record time (17:26.6)
Third at state cross country as a sophomore (18:48) and fourth as a junior (19:00)
Three-time Buckeye conference, district and regional cross country champion
LCCC 5K course record-holder, 1983-2006. Her best time of 18:16 set at the 1984 Class AAA District meet is No. 4 all-time. She also still holds the No. 5 (18:19), No. 7 (18:24) and No. 8 (18:28) fastest times for the course.
Two-time All-Ohio for track with a second in the 3,200 (10:45.59) in 1985 and fifth in the 1,600 (4:59.19) in 1986. Stress fractures her senior year prevented her from running cross country and track
Continued her athletics career at Ashland University – competing in cross country, track and swimming. She swam on two record-setting relay teams (200 freestyle and 400 freestyle)
